ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY (EOR) and IMPROVED OIL RECOVERY (IOR) PROCESS and APPLICATION
Hotel Aston Cihampelas Bandung l 3 – 5 Juni 2014 l 08.00-16.00 WIB
Rp.8.000.000,- per peserta (Non-Residential)
Rp.7.500.000,- per peserta (Pendaftaran 3 peserta dari 1 perusahaan)
Description
- Target of EOR processes is to mobilize “Remaining Oil”
- Achieved by enhancing oil displacement & Volumetric sweep efficiencies, such as
- Oil Displacement efficiency is improved by reducing oil viscosity (e.g., thermal floods) or by reducing capillary forces or interfacial tension (e.g., miscible floods)
- Volumetric sweep efficiency is improved by developing more favorable mobility ratio between inject ant & remaining oil –in-place e.g., polymer floods, WAG processes)
- Important to identify remaining oil & mechanisms necessary to improve recovery before implementing EOR
- Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) is to increase/ improve oil recovery in phase primary, secondary or tertiary recovery
Object Of Secondary and Enhanced Oil Recovery
- Finding the reasons for premature water or gas breakthrough into producing wells
- Investigating the effects of completion intervals and producing rates on oil recovery
- Determining optimum secondary recovery scenarios such as injection patterns, injection rates and pressure
- Determining optimum infill drilling and well remedial work and re-perforation
- Defining possible potential of enhanced oil recovery applications in the given field or parts of it
- Performing and analyzing appropriate laboratory and field tests required for designing any recommended EOR methods
- Estimating incremental oil and gas reserves for various scenarios
- Designing suitable pilot projects to test the recommended EOR method in the field
- Optimizing the design and performance of required surface facilities
- Formulating appropriate simulation models for the selected EOR process
- Determining optimum changes in the prevailing operating parameters such as injection patterns, injection rates, concentrations, slug volumes of EOR materials, injection pressure, etc.
- Providing the basis for suitable performance monitoring and reservoir surveillance programs
- recommending optimum remedial action for various cases where observed performance significantly deviates from predictions
- Updating the estimated potential of enhanced oil recovery applications
- Performing and analyzing appropriate laboratory and field tests required for specific studies of problem areas within the EOR project
- Making reliable economic evaluations
